A man dead in the desert

The solution: the man was in a hot-air balloon with other people. As it flew over the desert, it was losing altitude so quickly that it would crash and kill everyone. The people on board began taking off their clothes to throw away as much weight as possible, but it was not enough. They quickly reached the conclusion that one person would have to sacrifice themselves and jump from the balloon. Democratically, they left the decision to chance by drawing sticks: whoever drew the shortest stick would jump.

And so a naked man, still holding the little stick, crashed into the middle of the desert.
