The Humans 👪 of New York ❤️ project

In 2010, a twenty-six-year-old photographer named Brandon Stanton began roaming the streets of New York in his hoodie and baseball cap, carrying his beloved camera.

His goal was to capture the essence of 10,000 of its residents through his camera lens. That project, known as "Humans of New York", soon became something much bigger and more meaningful.

Humans of NY

As he walked the streets of NYC, Stanton did more than take photographs. He listened to and shared the stories of the people he met, turning each portrait into a window onto individual lives, dreams and challenges.

From funny stories to moving ones, "Humans of New York" has captured humanity in all its facets.

The project grew exponentially, becoming a social media sensation and gaining millions of followers around the world.

Every story shared becomes a thread connecting strangers, creating a fabric of empathy and understanding.

The publication of several books and the project's expansion beyond New York have further broadened its impact, showing that a simple idea can become a global movement.

Creativity, humanity's magic weapon, is wonderful when it is used to make our planet better.

Through his creativity, Brandon has had a positive influence on society by promoting empathy, directly supporting individuals and causes, raising awareness of important issues and creating an inclusive global community.
